Saudi Arabia Fertilizers Company (SAFCO) is a Saudi Arabia-based petrochemical company that operates in the agricultural chemicals sector. The Company’s principle activity is the manufacture and conversion of Urea and Ammonia. Its ammonia and urea plants are located in Dammam, with an annual production capacity of 2.6 million ton of urea and 2.3 million ton of ammonia. SAFCO also manufactures Nitrogenous, Phosphatic, Compound Fertilizers, Sulfuric Acid and Melamine. Its sulfuric acid product is primarily used in desalination plants, as well as in chemical cleaners, medicine, insecticides and phosphate fertilizers. Its melamine product is used in paints, gum, home appliances and other related industries. The Company has investments in other companies, namely: National Chemicals Fertilizers Company (50%), Arabian Industrial Fibers Company (3.7%) and Yanbu National Petrochemicals Company (1.69%).

THE SAUDI ARABIAN FERTILIZER COMPANY (SAFCO) ANNOUNCES ITS ANNUAL FINANCIAL RESULTS FOR THE PERIOD ENDING DEC. 31, 2010

1.. Net income is SR (3235) million, compared to SR (1804) million for the previous year, an increase of (79%).
 
2. Earnings per share is SR (12.94), compared to SR (7.22) in the previous year.
 
3. Gross income is SR (2690) million, compared to SR (1710) million for the previous year, an increase of (57%).
 
4. Operating income is SR (2622) million, compared to SR (1658) million in the previous year, an increaseof (58%).
 
5. The increased net income in annual year compared to the previous year is due to higher petrochemical prices, increase in sales volumes andthe income from sale of Dammam land & buildings.
